About the role

The DevoConnect Business and Campaigns Manager will be expected to have a strong interest and knowledge of politics and be able to demonstrate proven organisational and administrative skills having worked in a similar consultancy or agency. Your unique role will be to co-ordinate activity and provide executive support; helping us to forward plan and project manage with a focus on increasing productivity and business growth and success.

You will work to support all of DevoConnect’s team, enhancing capacity, providing co-ordination, organising meetings, events and conferences and being the lead supporting officer on public affairs accounts

Experience of producing and managing successful high profile events is a definite advantage.

Responsibilities

Driving effective and productive team working, including:

  • Co-ordination: tracking company activity, organising team meetings, setting agendas
  • Diary management: organising meetings and appointments, ensuring the Chief Executive’s time is used economically
  • Administrative support: e.g. invoices, expenses, office supplies, drafting contracts, database management

Ad-hoc support to the Chief Executive: as required, including trips to Westminster

Working with the Executive Team, supporting new business and company promotion, including:

  • Maintaining a social media presence
  • Playing a part in new business brainstorms and undertaking desk research for
    new business pitches and client programmes as required.
  • Gaining sponsorship for specific accounts

Events and training:

  • Working with the Executive Team, developing DevoConnect’s training offer
  • Organising summits and conferences

Project event organisation:

  • Booking rooms in Parliament and elsewhere across the UK
  • Maintaining client and stakeholder databases
  • Securing and liaising with speakers
  • Writing invites and mailings
  • Drafting agendas, speaker’s briefings, minutes, delegate lists and other
    documents as required
  • Promoting events on social media
  • Becoming capable of briefing all suppliers such as designers, photographers,
    printers in a knowledgeable and precise manner
