Sanctuary Counsel are looking for a committed individual to intern at their office in Westminster. The successful candidate would be joining a hard-working, experienced and well-connected team, working alongside our Consultants and Partners in delivering high quality reputational and strategic advice to an array of professional and private clients. This will be a busy role, working at the intersection of the private and public sectors, and will provide opportunities for building key skills for a career in strategic communications and reputational management.

General Tasks
Working with colleagues as directed in implementing and supporting work for Sanctuary Counsel and its clients
Conducting research and drafting briefing documents for a variety of uses
Providing assistance with the organising and delivery of events
Giving input on strategic recommendations and suggesting creative ways to best support the reputation and programmes of our clients
Monitoring media coverage of clients and their peers on an ongoing basis, including coverage of any issues, events, announcements etc.
Assist in administrative duties including drafting agendas, action notes, weekly activity trackers, and general office support if and where necessary
Build and update media lists and databases
Assisting in drafting statements, press releases and media pitches
Learn to use monitoring and research tools
Specific Tasks
Daily monitoring to highlight articles that may be relevant to clients
Monitoring of parliamentary debates for topics relevant to our clients
Write weekly briefings for specific clients – a round-up of client and sector news
Key Skills
Solid understanding of the key social, media and research platforms
Good research and analytical skills
An interest and curiosity in political, current affairs and business news
The ability to prioritise workload and keep to strict deadlines
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Efficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
