The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare is looking for an intern to join the External Affairs team 2 days a week for 12 weeks, supporting work to advocate for improvements in sexual and reproductive healthcare, including the activity of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual and Reproductive Health.

FSRH is the largest UK professional membership organisation working at the heart of sexual and reproductive health, supporting healthcare professionals to deliver high quality care. It works with its 15,000 members, to shape sexual reproductive health for all.

Tasks would include supporting with:

  • APPG activity, such as drafting and tracking parliamentary questions, drafting tweets and supporting with organising APPG events.
  • Engagement with relevent stakeholders, such as tracking outreach / engagement with groups.
  • Research tasks, such as conducting and compiling research findings for meeting briefings and consultation submissions.
  • Additional administrative / organisational tasks.

Additional tasks would be agreed with interns at the start of the internship, based on their interests, skills and desired areas for development.

The successful candidate would join External Affairs and FSRH meetings, as appropriate, to develop their understanding of the day-to-day work of the team and how their tasks feed into FSRH’s goals. There would also be opportunities for the intern to develop their areas of interest, speaking with relevant FSRH staff in other teams and taking part in training sessions.

Interviews to be held 19-28 January 2022.

Internship to start early February 2022.
