Job Details

The ICAEW are currently recruiting for a Corporate Comms Assistant reporting into the Corporate Comms Manager. The Corp Comms Assistant is a member of the Corp Comms team within the Comms Department. You will provide support in planning and delivering ICAEW corporate communications activity to members, external stakeholders, the media and employees in a way that builds and protects our reputation and influence.

• Assist the media relations team in maintaining media lists, fielding calls and creating evaluation reports

• Help research & draft news releases and briefing materials for media interviews, uploading relevant documents onto the ICAEW website

• Support our internal and external strategic communications planning, by maintaining an up-to-date forward look of key announcements and events. 

• Help to develop and maintain ICAEW’s social media presence on our key corporate and internal channels (e.g. Twitter and Yammer) by sourcing content from across ICAEW and ensuring posts are on message and brand

• Working in conjunction with colleagues in Social Media, help monitor and ‘listen’ to our social media channels so we can harness opportunities to strengthen our reputation and influence, and mitigate any potential risks

• Help to develop and maintain ICAEW’s intranet by sourcing content from our internal networks, to keep employees fully informed.

• Support the delivery of ICAEW’s flagship corporate events, including the Annual Dinner and President’s dinner

• Support the production of ICAEW’s Annual Review and other corporate-level print and digital content

• Support the production of employee-facing assets for our internal channels and the delivery of our monthly internal employee briefings

Profile:

• An interest in news and current affairs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A good understanding of social media
• An ability to research, analyse and present complex information in an accessible way
• A team player, able to work with others to tight deadlines
• Highly organised and good attention to detail
• Communications experience is desirable, but not essential
• Experience of image/video software (e.g. Photoshop, Final Cut Pro) is desirable, but not essential
