The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and diligent colleague to join the Global Opportunities Team at Newcastle University. You will support delivery of the University’s ambitious Global Strategy by providing support for a broad portfolio of global initiatives.
The purpose of the role is to develop frameworks for international exchange of students and staff, and to support the implementation, coordination and administration of an innovative and inclusive portfolio of global placement opportunities, including the new Turing Scheme.

You will develop and manage a range of relationships interacting closely with the other International Office teams, and a wide range of Academic and Professional Services units both within the University and across a wide range of international organisations including universities, government bodies, NGOs and corporations. You will provide management, co-ordination and support for a broad portfolio of work with the intention of supporting the University’s strategic and academic objectives for international mobility of staff and students, with a particular focus on expanding opportunities and enhancing the student and staff experience. The Global Opportunities team develops and manages the frameworks and administration of the University’s global programmes, with the aim to equip our students and staff with the skills to succeed as critical global citizens. The post holder will support the development and implementation of an inclusive and innovative portfolio of opportunities, including work placements, volunteering, summer schools, exchange programmes and research placements, and directly contribute to the aims and objectives of our ambitious Global Strategy.
