Job Details
The right candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the confidence to work alone. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is essential.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
Undertaking research, usually from readily available sources, on local and national issues.
Assisting the team in compiling briefings for the MP. Assisting with mass mailouts both by email and by letter.
Constituency casework.
Providing general office admin and support.
Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
