WPI Strategy is one of the fastest-growing political and communications consultancies in the UK. We work for some of the highest-profile companies, producing high-quality content-driven campaigns to help shape political and media debates. We also set up and run the Covid Recovery Commission of business leaders and produce the annual Levelling Up Index which has been cited in the national media and by MPs from different parties.
We are looking for a proactive Senior Consultant with a good understanding of the political, policy, and media environments, whilst wanting to get out and interact with clients, stakeholders and industry contacts.
Reporting to the company Directors on various client accounts, your primary role will be to support and manage a range of accounts with a focus on delivering successful campaigns and projects.
Project management skills will be important for this role alongside an active interest or participation within party politics, experience in analysing data or the media directly would be welcome, though not essential.
Proactivity and initiative in understanding and responding to your client’s needs is essential. Efficiency and attention to detail are also fundamental, along with a strong ability to prioritise tasks and deliver under sometimes stringent deadlines.
Key responsibilities will include
Acting as the first point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted advisor;
Delivering a wide range of client documents, including policy audits, campaign proposals, press releases, and strategy documents;
Securing high-quality coverage for clients across a variety of platforms; Directing account teams and taking the initiative to exercise judgment independently of senior management;
Supporting senior management, as well as building team spirit and providing coaching and support across account teams; Providing expert advice to clients at all levels;
Reviewing, editing and supporting junior members of the team's work;
Strong organisation and attention to detail will be necessary.
