This is an exciting opportunity to support in the development and deployment of Thames Water’s stakeholder engagement to enhance the company's reputation through understanding, building, and maintaining relationships with key opinion formers across the South London area.

In this role you can expect to work across the business, playing an active role in overseeing and implementing stakeholder engagement and communication strategies across all tiers of government and third parties, to aid with the delivery of our environmental, community and operational objectives.

As part of the Local Government team you can expect to undertake the following:

• Build upon existing and identify new political relationships; communicating stakeholders views internally and reflecting the business’s position(s) externally
• Produce and deliver briefings and presentations, often on complex and sensitive matters, to senior colleagues
• Monitoring of the national and local political environment in order to identify and advise on emerging issues that may impact the business
• Provide stakeholder incident support to the wider business, when things do not go as planned
