The Athena Foundation is recruiting a Communications, Events and Administration Officer to lead on our website and social media content and to provide support for its work with a key, multi-stakeholder project, Bankers for NetZero. The Athena Foundation also supports the All Party Parliamentary Group on Fair Business Banking, one of the largest and most influential APPGs in Parliament. The position will be home based with regular opportunities to attend Parliament for meetings, events and debates.

The Bankers for Net Zero initiative brings together parliament, industry and stakeholders to identify how the banking sector can support business in its transition to NetZero. Bankers for NetZero is the first country chapter of the UN-convened Net Zero Banking Alliance.

Working with the All Party Parliamentary Group on Fair Business Banking and the Bankers for Net Zero delivery partners and stakeholders, you will keep audiences abreast of social work issues and develop first class communications including policy statements, that build engagement and awareness with our stakeholders.

Ideally, the postholder should have knowledge of sustainable finance and banking and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to create timely, engaging, relevant content for our stakeholders for both online and print.

The successful candidate will have good experience of working within a communications / policy environment, with exemplary communications planning and written communication skills, plus experience of managing multiple projects and campaigns that involve developing quality and engaging web, social media and direct mail content.

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual that can work as part of a small team that is focused on delivering meaningful, impactful results in the banking industry.
