The Safety and Airspace Regulation Group provides oversight activity and regulation for all areas of civil aviation. The organisation is looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking communications professional to help explain the group’s work, engage with stakeholders and make safety information work for their audiences in a highly creative and autonomous position.

The Role:

The role will work closely with colleagues in the communications and safety teams to promote our safety work, engage with stakeholders and help make our advice and information clear and effective.

Responsibilities:
• Help run safety communications and engagement with key stakeholders, including the media.
• Research and develop proactive work to promote the group and future safety programmes
• Work with technical experts to draft press releases, consultations and other related information to make sure it is presented in a clear, concise and engaging manner.
• Provide guidance to colleagues on the best way to publish and promote material based on the audience and content, covering all communication channels available (including social media platforms)
• Help teams coordinate their communications to show a joined up / cohesive view to stakeholders

About You:

• A minimum of three years’ experience of developing and running communications and stakeholder engagement programmes
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels within the CAA and with external stakeholders.
• Confident to simplify complicated subjects
