  • Establish and maintain close communication and liaison with 12 SMP representatives*, proactively sharing information and best practices
  • Organise, lead engagement and chair a monthly online UK-wide Townhall with 12 SMP representatives, organising in conjunction with SMP representatives, prepare Townhall meeting conclusions
  • Attend online meetings with Project Manager to prepare briefing on updates of 12 regions and UK-wide Townhall conclusions to HKB Directors and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC)
  • Supervise the organisation of 12 regional BN(O) forums carried out by the regional outreach coordinators; liaise with them to collect feedback, best practices and headline conclusions from each forum, and share/brief such regional findings in the UK-wide Townhall
  • Supervise, and if necessary, provide support, towards community activities organised by regional outreach coordinators in 12 regions
  • Use results/findings from HKB’s surveys (e.g. BN(O)s’ preferred UK arrival destinations distribution etc.), to share and inform SMP representatives
  • Reach out to other ethnic minority groups to establish and maintain relations, share and learn best practices that can be brought to UK-wide Townhall when appropriate

*SMP = Strategic Migration Partnerships, which host the welcoming hubs for BN(O)s in 12 regions across the UK, who have hired/are hiring BN(O) Coordinators

Desirable experience and knowledge in:

  • Writing, implementing and/or designing public policy
  • Knowledge and experience in engaging and liaising with governments and civil society actors
  • Line-management
  • Working on large-scale projects
  • Working in community engagement activities
  • Managing or working in projects in full cycles
  • Working in multi-cultural projects and environments
  • Good practices and methodologies in project management
  • Interest in developing a career in UK public policy
