Job Title: Junior Researcher +REMOVED

Working For: Revealing Reality

Location: London

Salary: £22,000 with lots of opportunity for progression

Length of Contract: Permanent

Job Details

London based, social research agency Revealing Reality, working on ground-breaking research for national and local government, regulators, charities, NGOs and private sector.

You may not have heard of us, but we are the people who:
• Are helping shape the UK’s approach to migration and asylum through research with service users across the world
• Inform the government’s strategy on protecting children online by exploring teens’ experiences of watching porn or sending nudes

These represent only two of the 40+ projects we are working on at any given time. We influence policymakers, designers and strategists. Our work is diverse, spanning health, media and technology, environmental policy, financial capability and beyond.

All our projects start with research; but without a solid understanding of how the world works, there is little hope of making it better. Research does little on its own, so our team also problem solve using design, innovation, and consultancy skills.

As a Junior Researcher, you join our ambitious and collaborative research team and are given real responsibility from day one. You'll be expected to be innovative, inquisitive and show a passion for solving problems, whether its exploring topics in desk research, helping design questionnaires, or analysing secondary data sources or management information. You’ll see projects through from start to finish, help specify and complete requirements for quantitative data collection, develop findings through in-depth analysis and deliver research reports and other outputs.

You don’t need to be a stats expert but you do need to be comfortable working with large data sets, learning and using digital tools (like Excel) to query data and have an eye for detail.
We know much of this will be new to you but if you genuinely willing to learn – about everything – how things work, what you’ve misunderstood, how to drive change, coupled with the qualities of patience, determination, humility and the knowledge that you can achieve far more working in a high functioning team than you will ever achieve on your own, then this is just about the perfect job for you.

We invest heavily in graduates joining as junior researchers, supporting and guiding you whilst you get paid to learn, do good, work with similarly ambitious, positive people and have fun doing it.
