ITV also make content for the BBC, Channel 4, Five, Sky and sell over 40,000 hours of high quality television to 3000 international broadcasters.

The Social Purpose team is part of ITV’s Communications team. With viewers wanting to spend time with brands that are a force for good, the Social Purpose team use ITV’s huge scale and creativity to inspire positive change, both on-screen and behind the scenes.

They have four areas of focus: encouraging better physical and mental health, diversity & inclusion, climate action, and giving back to communities and causes.

This is a unique opportunity for a 12-month traineeship in the Social Purpose team, combining your passion for TV with your drive to make the world a better place. You will primarily be working on the areas of better health and climate action.

What you will learn

Creative campaign delivery – supporting award-winning campaigns which can include mental health, physical health, diversity & inclusion, environment and Soccer Aid for Unicef) with creative development, delivery and research
Climate Action - supporting ITV in collecting data on energy and waste from across the business, contributing to ITV’s mission to get to Net Zero carbon emissions.
Contributing to the Social Purpose website, sourcing and writing stories from across ITV, and contributing to case studies and awards entry writing and administration.
Managing skills-sharing and training days for young people.
Compiling competitive information on campaigns and policies from other broadcasters
General office skills and administration, such as managing invoices, writing up minutes of key meetings
Liaising with other teams in Corporate Communications, HR, Internal Comms, Public Affairs, Marketing and external agencies
