The Stockton Conservative Association is looking to recruit a volunteer intern to work on their campaigns during the coming months. The successful applicant will gain first hand experience in a busy Campaign Centre and undertake a variety of tasks to support the team. This role would be ideally suited to a student or recent graduate. The successful applicant will gain an insight into the production of campaign materials, the function and organisation of election campaigns, the management and organisation of volunteers and activists and much more. The successful candidate will also gain experience of working in a busy environment, with numerous deadlines and fast changing priorities. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for candidates to enhance their CVs and attain a varied and valuable political office based experience.

The specific tasks to be undertaken will vary; they may include, but not be limited to:
-Production of campaign materials
-Literature distribution, canvassing and other campaign activities
-Liaising with Councillors and administration tasks
-Other tasks to support the work of the campaign teams

As such the ideal candidate will:
-Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Be self motivated
-Have excellent attention to detail
-Be IT Literate
-Have knowledge of, and sympathy for, the aims and policies of the Conservative Party.
