Job Details
Andrea Jenkyns MP is looking to employ an apprentice to work in the MP's constituency office, in Morley, Leeds. This will be a Business Administrator apprenticeship.
Daily duties:
- Assisting with diary management and events planning
- Managing some constituency casework
- Monitoring local media coverage
- Keeping up to date with parliamentary business
- Supporting the running of local campaigns
- Undertaking research and drafting briefings as required on subjects relevant to our constituency and policy interests
- Ensuring professional records are kept adhering to GDPR requirements and respecting confidentiality at all times
Other duties as required Skills required:
- Motivated, pro-active, willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to engage confidentially with a broad range of people at all levels of seniority
- An ability to engage with constituents in an understanding, kind, and compassionate manner
- An ability to work swiftly and independently, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office
Candidates should be sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party
