The role

The LGA works to influence government policy and support councils to deliver effectively for their communities.

The Research and Information Team is looking for a full-time and permanent Research and Data Analyst who can design and deliver research, and data, modelling and advanced analytic services. The successful post-holder will be a key part of the team that delivers evidence for the LGA’s policy development, support and lobbying work, and delivers our LG Inform data service to authorities. Our work is widely used within the organisation and often features in the media.

The requirements

It’s essential that you have both research (surveys and interviews) and data analysis skills and can write and communicate well. We are looking for a team player with good organisational abilities.

The successful candidate can expect to take on a very varied and wide-ranging portfolio of work that supports and promotes local authorities and helps them to self-improve.

You must have the right to work in the UK, the LGA are unfortunately unable to offer sponsorship visas. Evidence for the right to work in the UK will be requested at the interview stage.
