This is an essential role to help shape and deliver the Public Affairs and stakeholder engagement plan for Manchester Airport – the global gateway for the North of England.
You will build advocates for the airport, articulating the importance of international travel and the role of Manchester Airport in being an economic driver for the whole of the North.
You will develop policy positions and help promote our asks and record to MPs and local government on issues including decarbonisation, rail infrastructure and airports policy.
This is an external facing role, so you will have strong advocacy skills, representing Manchester Airport in meetings with MPs and at key external events. Your first-rate relationship-building skills will help us spread our influence across the North of England.
The Public Affairs Manager will support the Head of Public Affairs in creating and driving high-quality stakeholder engagement programmes and campaigns that showcase the airport’s values and assets.
The role will be based at Manchester Airport with some time spent in Westminster and travelling to events across the North. There is the opportunity for hybrid working.
