NHS England and NHS Improvement is looking for a Stakeholder and Public Affairs Manager to join our fast-paced and dynamic External Affairs team. This is a key role in the delivery of an effective and comprehensive public affairs/stakeholder relations service at national level for the NHS.

You will help us maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders in health and care, national and local government and Westminster, ensuring that all engagement is co-ordinated, targeted and effective.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the health and care landscape and the key organisations working within it. You will understand the role and remit of NHS England and NHS Improvement, and its vision for the NHS. You will have senior level experience in communications, public affairs and stakeholder relations, a deep understanding of current affairs and a keen news sense.

You will work closely on the NHS' relationship with parliament, so you must understand the work of Parliament and the local, regional and national political landscape.

This is a fixed term vacancy to cover a secondment.
