Job Details
The applicant will work to the Senior Caseworker and respond to constituents’ enquiries via email, letter, telephone, and at advice sessions. Frequent contact with constituents requires a good telephone manner, discretion and confidentiality; a cheerful disposition is of course invaluable.
The applicant will liaise with local organisations and local MPs (where appropriate), as well as Central and Local Government bodies.
Hours of work: 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday, with occasional exception
Probation period of 3 months
Salary: IPSA rates apply
Place of work: Constituency Office, Islington North, London
Two references are required and will be taken up before any firm offer of employment is made.

Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
