We are a small and dedicated entrepreneurial team. We are planning our next phase of expansion which sees us working closer with the entrepreneurs and the teams that appear on the show.

The role

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the UKs current affairs landscape that has an entrepreneurial mindset who can help plan and execute campaigns that will garner national attention, we regularly work alongside our entrepreneurial guests so that their appearances have maximum impact.

Whilst this is initial project and contract, we are hopeful that it will turn into a long term contract, and we are very open to flexible ways of working.

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Monitoring technology and entrepreneurial outlets, VC Blogs + Sifted
• Composing and holding the pen on ‘the notebook’
• Drafting articles for national media
• Writing monthly updates on activity within the media and Parliament
• Working on campaign grid of activity, including marketing
• Helping to plan live events and university campus tours, managing guest lists etc

Skills

• An understanding of current affairs, mainstream media and what impacts this
• An ability to demonstrate creative and entrepreneurial projects
• An interest and understanding in social media communication - particular benefit of YouTube / LinkedIn
• Solid understanding of Parliament and Policymaking. For example, understanding the journey of an idea through to law, see Overton Window
• Ability to be able to take complex information and present it in different formats to time pressured entrepreneurs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• 1-2 years experience, we consider ‘experience’ a broad phrase, which can include significant projects whilst at University / College

Desirable

• Experience of technology / entrepreneurship / skills policy
• Experience of working in entrepreneurial ecosystem
• Experience in community management through Discord, Telegram, Slack etc.
• Understanding of audio / video editing
