Job Title: Community Development Manager

Working For: WSA Community Consultants

Location: London

Salary: £30-£34,000 FTE, pro rata for 22.5 hours per week

Length of Contract: Fixed term for one year in the first instance

Job Details

Do you have a strong track record of working successfully with communities and a good understanding of community development theory and practice? Are you a skilled trainer and facilitator? You could be just what we are looking for in this newly created role.

3 days/22.5 (core days should ideally include Tuesday and Wednesday but we can be flexible for the right candidate – we are also open to flexible working arrangements to accommodate school hours or other needs)
Remote working plus regular attendance at our London office

We’re looking for a highly skilled individual to join us in the newly created role of Community Development Manager. With plenty of experience working directly with people and communities to influence change and ensure the strong voice of lived experience, you’ll help make a difference to the communities we support and empower every day. This role will support the generation of new clients and partnerships to add breadth to our offer.

Joining our small core team, you’ll lead on our community development work, taking overall responsibility for projects in that area and leading on high quality delivery and reporting. This role will include some training and facilitation and we are looking for someone with excellent facilitation skills. You’ll be a vital member of our management team, ensuring a consistent flow of new business which will enable this role to be further sustained and developed. Like everyone else in our small team, you’ll be willing to flex and adapt on a daily basis, transitioning seamlessly from facilitating workshops to contract management.

If you’re ready for a role you can build and grow yourself, we’d love to hear from you.

We are happy to discuss a range of flexible working arrangements for the right candidate, including the ability to spread the 22.5 hours across four days instead of three to fit around school hours.

Closing Date: 24 June 2022

Interview/Start Dates

Closing date: Friday 24th June at 9am

Interview date: Interviews will either take place on the 8th or 15th July, ideally at our offices in London (please let us know when you apply if you will find this difficult for any reason).
