The vacancy

As the Senior Policy Adviser Acute Care, you will:

• Provide expert analysis and advice on policy issues related to NHS acute services
• Provide policy advice, guidance and influence on the priorities facing our acute members in the recovery and restoration of services through the ongoing impact of the Covid19 pandemic
• Support our acute members in the drive to more integrated and collaborative working
• Act on member insight, ensuring the views, experiences and expertise of our members inform the development and delivery of our Acute Network
• Lead and develop insightful, evidence-based, member-informed policy positions, advice and recommendations
• Establish, promote, and maintain strong relationships with other policy experts and leads within stakeholder organisations

About you

You will have first-hand, operational knowledge and experience of the acute sector, gained from working in an acute hospital across the portfolio of hospital services. You may be working in a Trust, on the NHS Management scheme, 2 or 3 years into your career and with good knowledge of the realities of working in hospitals. We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience of working in an acute NHS setting across the portfolio of acute services
• Experience of the recovery and restoration service agenda within acute settings
• Knowledge and understanding of national health policy in the acute sector operational setting
• Excellent policy analysis skills that cut through complexity, provide insight, and craft solutions
• Experience of working with and influencing senior leaders and stakeholders
