Job Details

Are you an experienced campaigner with connections to grassroots movements? Have you been involved in the campaign against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act? Are you passionate about upholding our right to protest? Do you have lived experience of repressive policing? Would you like to work in partnership with two organisations at the frontline of holding the police to account?

Netpol and the Article 11 trust are looking for an Organising and Partnerships Coordinator to challenge and monitor the impact of the PCSC Act on the right to protest. We are looking for someone to amplify the voices of marginalised communities and movements that the police will disrupt, harass, surveil, and criminalise with their new powers.

The role will involve documenting the use of police powers, and providing practical advice to those affected, as well as developing campaign materials and events to promote the project’s aims. The post holder will also act as secretary to the Article 11 Trust, networking with frontline organisations monitoring rights to freedom of assembly in Britain, and coordinating the distribution of financial support by administering a small grants program.
