Job Title: Local Organiser

Working For: Morecambe & Lunesdale Labour Party

Location: Morecambe

Salary: £16,190.03 pa, plus a fixed sum allowance of £676.20 pa. Hours will be 20.5 per week.

Length of Contract: 12 months

Job Details

The Local Organiser will be responsible for all aspects of Labour Party organisation within the seat.
Responsible for building and maintaining party organisation and activity, establishing an effective campaign organisation and working with Morecambe & Lunesdale CLP Officers.
Responsibilities:
• Enable and empower members to organise and campaign, work to deliver a voter focused, well-organised campaign.
• Work to identify and organise campaigns, identify leaders and provide training and support on organising and campaigning.
• Develop digital campaigning and organising techniques.
• Develop fundraising schemes to ensure the CLP has adequate funding to organise, campaign and contest elections.
• Build relationships between local stakeholders and organisations.
• Organise campaign events.
• Develop communications systems including with branches, members and affiliates to promote Labour's achievements and Party activities.
• Report on activity to the Regional Director.
• Undertake training as required to a satisfactory standard.
