Job Title: Campaigns Officer

Working For: RNIB

Location: London

Salary: £32,115 per annum

Length of Contract: Permanent

Job Details

We are looking for a talented campaigner who will help plan and deliver RNIB’s campaigning. The role sits within a large and dynamic policy and campaigns team, which works to create a world where there are no barriers to people with sight loss.

Whether using campaigning to change public perceptions, or to influence policy on specific areas such as transport, our campaigning seeks to harness the power of people across a range of platforms, using a variety of techniques.

In this exciting new role, you will help to change minds and behaviours, to engage many more people in our campaigns, and get our messages in front of the decision-makers we need to influence.

You will play an active part in the planning and delivery of campaigns within a large policy and campaigns team. You’ll have experience of developing engaging e-actions and email content, and you’ll have plenty of creative ideas to engage new campaigners and influence decision makers.

You’ll be able to quickly build rapport and establish relationships with colleagues across RNIB, and will be comfortable managing and monitoring complex projects, as well as translating sometimes complex policy topics into compelling calls to action.

In exchange we offer a competitive salary, a stimulating and supportive working environment and a benefits package including:

  • 26 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays – pro rata), which increase with service
  • Excellent pension schemes
  • RNIB Rewards - Our employee discounts platform gives you access to offers at over 800 in-store and online retailers
  • In-house training and development opportunities
  • Flexible working arrangements - each new member of staff will be given a laptop to make working flexibly easy

We’re the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and we’re here for everyone affected by sight loss. Working for us means working for one of the UK’s biggest charities, supporting almost two million people living with sight loss in the UK.

RNIB is leading the creation of a world where there are no barriers for people with sight loss. One of our key priorities is to ask people to see sight loss differently, reversing inaccurate perceptions and changing public behaviours so everyone expects equal participation from people with sight loss and the creation of a fully accessible society.
