Job Details

Leading, Inspiring and Resourcing the UK’s Heritage The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest funder of the UK’s heritage. The projects we fund create lasting and positive change for people and communities and we believe that heritage has a crucial role to play in contributing to a more equal society. We are recruiting for a Stakeholder Engagement Manager, reporting to the Head of Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement. This key new role will lead the co-ordination and management of the Fund’s stakeholder engagement across the UK. The post-holder will lead and champion the Heritage Fund’s stakeholder engagement approach, developing our strategic approach through working closely with staff, the Executive team, Board and Committee members to deliver a focused and prioritised approach to engaging with our diverse stakeholders. This includes designing, developing and managing streamlined processes to enable clear and effective stakeholder management, including the delivery of briefings for senior staff and board members, and managing the flow of intelligence and information. In addition to developing and co-ordinating our approach inside the Heritage Fund, the post-holder will be forward-looking and externally focused: working closely with public affairs and communication colleagues to identify and develop opportunities for building stakeholder relationships and the Fund’s reputation. The post-holder will develop these relationships to achieve greater impact, identifying opportunities and relationships to cultivate. This will involve providing advice to senior leaders and leadership, for example through delivering great relationship management with external organisations. The post-holder will lead on developing the Heritage Fund’s approach to stakeholder monitoring and feedback, introducing creative ways to assess and measure the impact of our stakeholder engagement approach. The post-holder will work effectively and collaboratively with public affairs and communications colleagues across the UK to shape our stakeholder approach and build the Fund’s profile and reputation through impactful and effective stakeholder and partner engagement. This is a full-time post, flexibility based in one of our UK offices, with hybrid working supported.
