Highgate is a global advisory firm operating at the intersection of communications, business strategy, intelligence and politics. Our team of senior consultants advise CEOs, political leaders and prominent individuals on high-stakes issues. We design and execute political, business and communication strategies, manage crises, and improve clients’ operations, reputation and stakeholders’ relations.
Highgate is looking for an intern to join the team to support us in delivering high-stakes communication campaigns for our clients. This is an ideal opportunity for a hard-working and enthusiastic individual looking to gain experience and develop their career in political consultancy and communications.
As part of our Internship Programme we invest in bespoke training and you will have a dedicated mentor throughout to support and guide you. We are fully committed to hybrid working and you will also have full access to our office in Berkeley Square.
Our interns are important members of the team, have full access to the senior team, are involved in company meetings and support on business development.
Typical key tasks:
- Research and draft content including blogs, briefings, newsletters, etc.
- Research and analysis of media articles for clients, incl. daily media monitoring
- Research and compile briefing notes in the areas of politics, business, ESG, international affairs
- Monitor social and traditional media and analyse opportunities for clients
- Research and compile stakeholder lists
- Draft social media content and media pitches
- Attend client and team meetings, note taking
- Support with brainstorming and drafting communications and business strategies
- Ad-hoc administrative tasks
The successful candidate will have:

- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Keen interest and good understanding of politics and international affairs
- Foreign language skills and digital skills are desirable

Interview/Start Dates
Start date is July 18th. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
