Ellwood Atfield is delighted to be partnering with leading UK charity Breast Cancer Now to place two vacancies which represent an exciting opportunity to work within the Policy, Evidence and Influencing team to achieve change for people with breast cancer.

Both roles are broadly the same with similar job descriptions, but each role focuses on a different geographical area. One role focuses on Scotland, this being role one. The other role focuses on Wales, this being role two.

In both roles, you will:

• Play a key role leading the development and delivery of a policy and public affairs strategy in Scotland or Wales.
• Represent the charity at external meetings and oversee the design and delivery of public affairs plans in line with the charity’s strategic aims and policy calls.
• Support the roll out of major campaigning activity
• Act as a key spokesperson for the charity in Scotland or Wales, representing BCN in the media as well as with campaigners and senior stakeholders.

About you

You will have experience of developing written briefings for stakeholders, analysing data to support policy development, writing public affairs plans, developing written policy material and reports, and building strong external contacts. You will have a good understanding of the current health policy landscape as well as knowledge of UK parliamentary processes and legislative systems.

You will possess excellent communication skills and have demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will lead and manage projects and plan and organise a busy workload.
