As Head of Programmes you will be leading the team that works with young people and partners to plan and deliver engagement opportunities that enable young people to find their collective voice and use it for social and political change.

As the national youth council of the UK, we bring young people together through our membership network and a range of partner programmes to advocate with and for young people. We are a small but ambitious charity working across the UK to empower young people and to use our national mandate to influence UK Parliament and the Government.

You will be an experienced leader with experience of working with young people, ideally within a youth participation setting. You will bring your passion for youth work and youth engagement to help the British Youth Council to increase our reach and impact, ensuring that all our activity is delivered in a way that is equitable and inclusive, and that puts young people front and centre.

As part of the leadeship team you will be shaping the charity and working closely with our Board who are all young people. As Head of Programmes you will also be the lead for safeguarding within the charity.
