JOB PURPOSE

The Housing First and Homelessness Project Coordinator will lead on the housing coordination element of the award-winning Westminster VAWG Housing First project as well as supporting the coordination of the wider Housing First and Homelessness Project.

The Westminster VAWG Housing First project provides permanent, independent housing and intensive support for 30 women experiencing long-term homelessness, any form of violence against women and girls (VAWG) and multiple disadvantage. The support element of the project is delivered by Solace Women’s Aid who work to build relationships with the women and provide intensive ‘woman led’ support to help them maintain a tenancy and improve physical and mental wellbeing. The Housing First and Homelessness Project Coordinator at Standing Together will coordinate the housing element of the project, maintaining relationships with existing housing providers, and building links with new providers to ensure that the women accessing the project have access to safe and secure housing that meets their needs.

The coordinator will also provide support for the wider Housing First and Homelessness Project at Standing Together, the overarching aim of which is to build capacity around domestic abuse, VAWG and multiple disadvantages across a range of homelessness support settings.
