Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Liberal Democrats are looking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated Campaign Organiser for a 10 month contract until July 2023.

We are a well resourced and active party and we are looking for a conscientious and organised person to join our two existing members of staff and assist with building the party’s presence in the area, engaging voters and activating supporters and members with a view to win more seats on Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council at local elections in May 2023.

The role is for a 10 month term from August 2022 to May 2023 although there is scope to renew depending on the party’s electoral success.

The role is full time but we are open to the possibility of a job share so please do apply if you are seeking a part time role.

We are particularly keen to hear from those with experience of the role of organiser within the Liberal Democrats and the salary will be awarded depending on experience and existing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

● Writing content, designing and ordering literature that is widely distributed across the constituency.
● Coordinating volunteers who attend clerical sessions and ensuring that the delivery network is utilised and runs smoothly.
● General office administration and management.
● Build good working relationships with local party officers and elected officials to support them in their activities and run successful campaigns.
● Manage the local party’s membership data and ensure that members are regularly informed of local party news and events.
● Monitoring, updating and uploading web content both on social media and the local party’s website.
● Organising member social events and fundraising activities.
● Activist and membership development with a view to building the local party’s capacity.
● Responding to correspondence from members and residents via email and post.
● Keeping membership and voter databases up to date.
● Liaising and coordinating with other Lib Dem parties across BCP.

You would be required to join the Liberal Democrats in order to come under the Party’s GDPR Data Controller, and you must not be a member of another political party.

Interview/Start Dates

We will be conducting interviews in July and may appoint before the closing date which is 14 July 2022. 

The successful candidate will be expected to start in August.
