Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Director

Job Details

As part of the Institute’s operations team, and reporting to the Director of Finance and Resources, you will support the very active Director and Deputy Director. This will involve:


• Proactively managing the Director and Deputy Director’s busy diaries
• Making travel arrangements (including for overseas travel where required)
• Processing and submitting expenses claims
• Organising the Institute’s Board and other governance Committee meetings, including:
       o Liaising with Board members and their offices over meetings and other events
       o Preparing and circulating Board and Committee papers
       o Taking minutes in Board and Committee meetings
• Working with colleagues in the research team to manage the flow of draft reports and other
documents to the Director and Deputy Director for feedback
• Preparing briefing materials for internal and external speaking events, with support from the
research team where necessary
• Working with colleagues in the communications team to manage the Director’s social media
(including Twitter) under clear direction
• Drafting letters to government ministers and other senior external stakeholders as required,
tracking responses and following up as needed
