Job Details
• working closely with Association Officers, our Member of Parliament (Sir Graham Brady, Chairman of the 1922 Committee) and Councillors.
• coordinating our campaigning activities, including regular canvassing sessions, voter survey activities, production of effective campaign material and leafletting.
• coordinate with other constituencies locally to ensure smooth running of our campaign and mutual assistance when appropriate (Trafford Council area)
• act as agent for all candidates running in the local elections in May 2023 and the next General Election. This entails ensuring candidates are nominated, submitting election expenses to the Electoral Commission and responsibility for all legal aspects of the campaign.
• coordinate the design, printing and distribution of political and other literature, including our digital campaigning work.
• work closely with our MP, our local Councillors, candidates and activists to promote the Conservative Party and our elected members and candidates
• work with Association officers on major fund raising events and efforts to increase party membership.
• Perform other ad hoc duties that are reasonable within the job profile
Driving License: the successful candidate must possess a current UK driving licence.
Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
