Job Description:
• Development and communication of policy positions
• Leading IMTA engagement in certain industry-government forums, attending meetings, proposing positions, preparing strategies
• Delivering presentations in various forums
• External stakeholder relations – building and maintaining relationships with trade association partners, government and other stakeholders
• Working with the CEO to develop strategy for the association, including membership and other revenue streams as well as compliance. Identifying and rolling out additional benefits/services to meet members’ needs e.g. events
• Deputising for the CEO in her absence
• Leading and facilitating certain IMTA meetings including team meetings
• Responding to member queries on policy and regulation
• Visiting member companies to brief on IMTA services and assist members in policy understanding
• Proposing strategies to deal with member issues and taking these forward to completion.
• Drafting responses to certain government consultations on various policy matters, identifying key consultations and overseeing membership consultation on certain issues and policy.
• Identifying next steps, opportunities for lobbying/making policy asks, steering forward pieces of policy work.
• The role will likely involve line management responsibilities.
• Some admin and other operational tasks as required
• Managing production of event and promotional material
• Overseeing website development
• To have oversight of all policy areas relevant to the association and see what needs to be prioritised in accordance with member needs
