About the role:

We’re looking for a new communications officer with excellent written English to help us keep our media profile high, promote our campaigns and projects, and manage our website.

Our current priorities include campaigns on climate change, improving the quality of new homes through a Healthy Homes Act, the reuniting of planning and health, securing a stronger voice for people in planning, and achieving the homes we need in new and renewed places. We do all of this underpinned by Garden City principles, which aim to achieve a socially just and sustainable society.

Our new communications officer will be working with a small but ambitious team. Our events, policy ideas and publications attract the attention of politicians, professionals and the public, and we need a well-organised communicator to generate media interest, deal with enquiries, and oversee and write a range of newsletters, web content and social media. This role will suit someone who is willing and able to tackle a wide range of communications tasks – an all-rounder rather than a specialist.
