A globally focused, publicly supported, non-partisan and non-profit think tank headquartered in Santa Monica, California, the Milken Institute’s mission is to increase global prosperity by advancing collaborative solutions that widen access to capital, create jobs and improve health. 

The position is an associate director role reporting directly to the Milken Institute’s Chief Global Strategist, while also coordinating with the Milken Institute’s Senior Director of Development in London and the London-based development team.
The position involves an understanding of key economic and policy issues within the UK, as well as continental Europe. The position will work in collaboration with the Chief Global Strategist to identify key topics and to produce written research, opinion writing and engagement on these subjects as well as to speak and engage with leaders and stakeholders on these key subjects. The role will also involve assembling and holding focused roundtables, private engagements and funded innovation labs and related work in collaboration with staff in policy research and the London business development team. The role will involve identifying and recruiting key partners and speakers for events engagements in London and Europe, as well as working with the London-based team and Chief Global Strategist to develop panels and content for major Milken Institute conferences and summits.
The candidate should have an undergraduate degree in economics, public policy or a related field, with a Master’s degree strongly recommended. The degrees should ideally from a United Kingdom based institution. The candidate should have at least six years of experience working either in Government or in a role directly working with governmental and non-governmental officials in a policy-related field. The candidate should have clear knowledge of key economic and social issues facing the UK, as well as major academic and non-governmental organizations and direct experience writing and communicating on these issues both to internal and external stakeholders.
