Job Details

We seek to appoint a creative, innovative and highly motivated individual to coordinate and implement our creative and communications activities with the media and across our numerous platforms. The candidate will have experience in creativity, communications, social media and website management. The successful applicant should also have an active interest in, and knowledge of, the British and international media, as well as possess a keen interest in politics and foreign affairs.

The Creative and Communications Officer will be an integral part of our organisation’s team. The successful applicant will actively involve themselves in creating and implementing media campaigns for our organisation and projects, run our social media accounts, and be the point of contact for journalists and media outlets both nationally and internationally.

This role is an excellent opportunity for the successful application to immerse themselves in the world of Westminster, grow their network of media contacts, and promote the strengthening of Britain domestically and internationally.

Tasks:
-Working with the leadership team to enhance the publicity of the Council on Geostrategy nationally and internationally;
-Developing and project-managing communications campaigns for new publications and research activities;
-Creating and publishing audio-visual content, including graphics, podcasts and videos;
-Creating newsletters and other communications content;
-Dealing with media enquiries and setting up interviews;
-Monitoring and recording media coverage for all personnel;
-Managing the social media profiles and the website;
-Maintaining and updating a media contacts database;
-Taking and making calls;
-Other relevant duties related to the role.
