Job Details

The Taylor Bennett Foundation PR Training programme is a paid in-person, eight-week intensive PR and Communications training programme.

The programme combines practical masterclasses, with regular presenting and writing tasks to provide extensive industry insight and to allow the development of specific skills. Also, building professional networks.

Elements of the programme include:

  • 8 training days with FGS Global, including sessions on TMT and Natural Resources, Crisis Management, Equity Advisory, Transformation and Change, Public Affairs, Consumer, Industrials and Real Estate, Selling Stories to the Media and Communicating with Journalists, Content Digital Data, M&A and IPOs and much more!
  • Having a mentor from FGS Global
  • Employability training sessions to help you plan your future in the communications industry
  • Creative writing training to strengthen your writing skills
  • Weekly writing tasks – conducting media summaries of the broadsheets, mid-market tabloids and the red tops. Writing and maintaining a blog which looks at prominent issues within the industry
  • In-person masterclasses take place with a variety of agencies and in-house communication’s teams
  • Accredited training courses with the industry membership bodies - the CIPR and PRCA

We have an excellent track record of helping graduates of the training programme get into work. In 2022 95% of the PR Trainees went straight into employment or a fixed term contract.

What are we looking for?

  • Passion for current affairs, the commercial world and the media.
  • Communications skills; people who can listen, are articulate and persuasive.
  • Strong interest in the PR and Communications industry
  • An interest in public affairs, finance, journalism, political science, strategic consulting, or international relations (to name a few).

Eligibility

  • You must be from a Black, Asian & minority ethnic background.
  • You must be a graduate & graduated within the last three years. We will accept applications from graduates who have studied any subject.
  • You must have graduated with at least a 2.1
  • You must be a British National or have immigration status that allows you to be employed in the UK at the end of the programme.
  • You must be able to commit to the full programme (Monday-Friday 09.30am-5.30pm)
  • You must be able to attend the sessions in person (based in London)

Closing Date: 18 December 2022

Interview/Start Dates

  • Pre-Assessment briefing: January 6th 2023
  • Assessment Day: January 10th 2023 
  • Programme dates: January 30th 2023 - March 24th 2023
