In 2023, the US-UK Fulbright Commission marks 75 years of supporting talented students, scholars and other professionals to pursue academic exchange on both sides of the Atlantic. We seek a talented and enthusiastic Communications Assistant to play a key role in supporting the communications activity across the 75th-anniversary campaign and the wider organisation.

The Communications Assistant will have exceptional writing and communication skills and a keen interest in digital media innovation. They’ll help to grow our social media presence, deliver promotional campaigns that raise awareness of our programmes to diverse audiences, and support our work in engaging our 23,000 plus strong alumni community through innovative storytelling. The successful candidate will have proven experience managing communications campaigns (both digital and offline) for a variety of stakeholders, as well as proficiency in website, event, and social media management.

This is an exciting role for a creative person looking to develop their experience in Marketing and Communications and help us share the next chapter in the Fulbright Commission’s story. We’re keen to hear from candidates with an interest in promoting access to higher education and building networks that promote our key strategic goals responding to social, economic and climatic challenges. Experience of working in higher education student recruitment marketing or communications is not necessary, but would be desirable, as would managing and editing videos and supporting the running of digital events.
