Job Details

The Organisation
ICE is an international membership organisation that promotes and advances civil engineering worldwide. ICE is a qualifying body, a centre for the exchange of specialist knowledge, and a provider of resources to encourage innovation and excellence in the profession worldwide.
Many countries face the same challenges across their infrastructure lifecycle: the need to unlock better procurement processes, create social value, achieve economic outcomes, and address shared global challenges in a sustainable way.
Enabling Better Infrastructure (EBI) is a multi-year programme that supports national policymakers to address these challenges by designing guidance and providing shared insight to support long-term infrastructure planning to meet sustainable development targets.
Using the EBI 12 Principles developed in 2019, the programme is now setting up a collaborative network of international senior civil servants and political advisors to support insight sharing in a changing world.
Running until mid-2025, the current phase will include qualitative and quantitative research, policy and research outputs, insight sharing events, and the development of an interactive knowledge sharing hub.
The Role:
The EBI Programme Researcher will support the development of ICE’s Enabling Better Infrastructure (EBI) programme by carrying out research, such as conducting literature reviews, undertaking policy analyses, writing up case studies, and completing administrative tasks.
The role will also include translating findings from across the programme into actionable insights and associated outputs for expert and non-expert audiences.
