An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Policy and Project Manager to join our dynamic, friendly, and creative Taskforce for Lung Health team. The Taskforce is the largest ever coalition of over 40 organisations and individuals with an interest in respiratory health. Asthma + Lung UK provides the secretariat to the Taskforce for Lung Health. At the end of 2018 the Taskforce published a five-year plan making recommendations to prevent more people from developing lung disease, and to transform the care of people living with lung disease.

Reporting to the Director of External Affairs, you will manage the Taskforce for Lung Health secretariat function and ensure the final year of our five-year Plan for Lung Health is implemented. You will progress the strategy for, and project manage the Taskforce, ensuring key milestones are met and outputs delivered. You will be responsible for overseeing a complex budget, ensuring the Taskforce is run cost-effectively and working closely with fundraising colleagues at to secure project funding.

One of our strategic aims is to tackle health inequalities, particularly around health outcomes for people from minority ethnic groups, and so we therefore particularly welcome applications from people from those backgrounds.

You will be a strong leader with good communication, people, and stakeholder management skills. You will be experienced in managing and delivering complex projects and budgets, have a strong knowledge of UK health policy, structures and process, and have demonstrable experience in delivering evidence-based, realistic policy proposals and influencing activities.
