Working For: Centre for Progressive Policy

Location: London

Salary: £28,000-£45,000 depending on experience.

Length of Contract: Permanent

Job Details

The Centre for Progressive Policy is the UK’s leading think tank promoting inclusive growth – an economic model where everyone can benefit from and contribute to sustainable growth. In the last year alone, we have shown the economic gains from delivering affordable and accessible childcare, outlined deep reforms to local government funding to help address the cost of living crisis and delivered a bold policy package to transform educational outcomes in deprived areas. At the heart of everything we do is close collaboration with local and national government, encapsulated by our brilliant Inclusive Growth Network, the first ever network of local and combined authorities dedicated to shared prosperity on the ground.

We are now looking for an outstanding Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst to drive forwards our impactful policy and research programme. You will play an integral role in producing impactful analysis and policy recommendations that will be read by senior politicians, civil servants, business leaders and journalists. You will have the chance to bring fresh ideas to inform our research and policy thinking as we seek to influence party manifestos ahead of the next general election.

We are open to considering candidates with varying levels of experience, but you should have existing experience as a researcher at a minimum. This does not have to have been in think tanks, we welcome those who have worked in local/national government, charity or private sector.

This is a great time to join. Our upcoming programmes of work – unlocking business investment for inclusive growth and delivering better public services and fiscal sustainability – are amongst our most ambitious yet. We will also be continuing to deliver critical advice and analysis to our network of local areas to help them embed inclusive economies. In recognition of our growing influence, we were nominated for two think tank awards by Prospect magazine in 2021 – “economic and financial think tank of the year” and “one to watch”.

Closing Date: 3 January 2023

Interview/Start Dates

Interviews will be held week commencing 9th of January.
