Working For: SEC Newgate UK

Location: Manchester

Salary: Competitive

Length of Contract: Permanent

Job Details

Overview

Following a number of exciting new business wins, SEC Newgate UK is looking for either an experienced Senior Account Executive or someone ready for their first Account Manager role to join our team in Manchester, working across our advocacy accounts.

Working for high-profile clients in sectors such as property, energy and infrastructure, you will support our stakeholder engagement work on major regeneration and infrastructure schemes, as well as assisting with communications for developments being built or that have become operational.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Account Executive, you would be responsible for producing research and analysis to help provide our clients with the context they need to build effective strategies, and you would create communications collateral to support the delivery of impactful campaigns.

As an Account Manager, your focus would be on client relationship management, project management, the delivery of engagement materials and activity and support with new business initiatives.

Working for a top 30 global communications group and having close interaction with the wider team in the UK and beyond, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skillset and to become involved in providing advice to clients across our various specialisms - from public affairs and stakeholder engagement, to corporate, financial and consumer communications.

The person

We are looking for a candidate with strong writing and analytical skills, with a good understanding and enthusiasm for local and national politics. Some experience of working with media outlets and on social media would also be desirable. With a primary focus on housing, development and infrastructure, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the local and national media landscape, as well as issues of political importance.

You will have strong research skills and the ability to write in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. As this is an agency setting, you should also be able to work well as part of a team and to prioritise competing deadlines effectively. As we operate a hybrid model of working in Manchester (2 days per week in the office), you should be comfortable with a mix of office and remote working and be able to work independently.

Experience working in either politics, the media, or the property, energy and infrastructure sectors is preferred but not essential.
