Re: Job Description- Agent and Campaign Manager Roles - Slough

The Slough Conservative Association is looking to appoint to one or possibly two separate interim Agent and Campaign Manager positions immediately at a rate of up to £20 per hour, depending on experience, under short-term contact in the run up to the May 2023 Local Elections, and for submission of Election Expenses. The vacancy is for 30-hours-plus per week; flexi-hours with some home working. We are looking for one or two individuals who are enthusiastic, well organised, able to work independently, and who are able to manage our volunteers and candidates. Prior experience of working on political campaigns will be a distinct advantage but candidates wishing to develop their knowledge and skill set in this area will also be considered as training will be available where necessary.
The successful candidate or candidates will be able to demonstrate:
*Competent IT skills, including web and social media skills.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Sympathy with aims and values of the Conservative Party
* Prior experience of working with CampaignToolkit and VoteSource is desirable, but not essential.
The role or roles involve:
* Working with SCA officers and councillors to manage election campaigns and writing and designing Constituency wide campaign material.

* Motivating and mobilising candidates and a volunteers network to support canvassing as well as literature distribution and delivery, plus Get-out-the-vote activities.
*Completing and submitting Election Expenses returns.

*Developing and executing fundraising events.
