We are looking for a talented individual able to help the university influence and engage with government policy. This will require an understanding of research impact on policy and how to facilitate and support academics to engage and raise their profile with key groups.

Deliver an integrated, institution-wide approach to policy engagement with relevant public sectors, influencers and think tanks. This will involve working with the Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Engagement, Director of External Relations and Assistant Director of Communications.

You will work with key academic staff to influence policy and engage public sectors with Lancaster research, and develop appropriate performance indicators to chart our progress.

Part of the role is to manage the work of an events coordinator and a Public Affairs agency and, working with colleagues across the university, develop and deliver an events programme to be led by senior officers.
