Job Details

The opportunity

Former youth justice worker and Forbes 30 Under 30 Entrepreneur Josh Babarinde is the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for the marginal seat of Eastbourne (currently held by the Conservatives).

Josh is on the hunt for a show-stopping Campaign Officer to help power his General Election campaign.

Eastbourne had a Lib Dem MP until the last election and is one of the party’s top target seats.

Key responsibilities

Project manage Josh’s campaign
You’ll make sure Josh’s Campaign Plan is delivered on-time and in-budget. You’ll run a tight ship.

Produce hard-hitting campaign comms
You’ll craft powerful leaflets, emails and press releases to inspire voters and donors. You don’t need to be a graphic design pro - we’ll train you up. You’ll also co-ordinate leaflet printing.

Push Josh’s message out to the masses
You’ll plan a rigorous schedule of campaign activity to get Josh’s message out to every corner of Eastbourne. This’ll involve organising doorstep canvassing sessions, leaflet delivery sessions and more - all powered by our volunteers.

Power-up our army of activists
You’ll arm our volunteers with the skills they need to make an impact. You’ll help recruit talented new activists into Josh’s campaign.

Key things we’re after from you

You know how to get things done
You’re hot on deadlines, making sure team members know what tasks they need to do, and at keeping track of a budget. You’ve got experience managing a project with lots of strands.

You can fire up passionate volunteers
You’ve got the enthusiasm and empathy to motivate our team of activists to campaign on the doorsteps. You might have experience of managing volunteers.

You’re a wordsmith with an eye for design
You can write copy that wins hearts and minds. You know the difference between a good leaflet and a bad one. A bonus would be experience using desktop publishing tools.

You can multitask with ease
You’re organised enough to manage lots of simultaneous tasks without losing your cool, losing sight of your goals, nor losing your magic touch.

You care enough to get stuck in
You’re invested in our mission to turf out the Conservatives and drive positive change. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
