The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is the governing and regulatory body for horseracing in Great Britain. It is the BHA’s role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, with a key objective being to ensure the highest standards apply on and away from the racecourse.

The BHA is looking to recruit a Public Affairs Executive. Reporting to the Policy & Advocacy Manager, the role will be responsible to support the delivery of British Racing’s agreed public affairs strategy to Governments, Parliamentarians (including Devolved Assemblies) and other key political and Government stakeholders across a broad range of challenging policy issues, with the aim of broadening political understanding and support for the sport.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of managing and organising campaigns, events, activities, channels and platforms as well as experience of developing briefings and materials, often to tight deadlines. You will also have significant experience in managing Public Affairs campaigns, events, activities, channels and platforms as well as having a thorough knowledge and understanding of United Kingdom politics, legislative and Parliamentary processes.
