Job Details

The Plan for Rail committed to new partnerships with cities and regions across the country. To support this objective, this role will contribute to GBRTT’s policy development and engagement with regional partners.

This role will support the regional partnerships policy team, working with stakeholders from across different regions, facilitating productive relationships. This role will support overall policy development aligned with GBRTT’s partnership principles and local partner’s strategic objectives.

You will help develop, coordinate and deliver major policy priorities for the GBRTT leadership, and identify opportunities for the team to deliver more effectively on its key objectives as we transform the rail sector.

What you’ll bring..

Experience of rail industry operations, analysis, planning, or policy
Excellent communication and influencing skills, including an ability to draft advisory papers and to present detailed technical concepts in an accessible format
Good interpersonal skills with ability to maintain credibility and build relationships with people at all levels and contribute to the engagement of external stakeholders.
Proven ability to synthesise complex information, understand and identify risks and opportunities.
Highly organised and able to manage multiple workstreams at the same time.
Ability to work across teams to secure wider input from internal experts who are nominated to support this project.
Ability to support and contribute to the team and GBRTT culture in a constructive and collaborative way.
