Duties and Responsibilities
Communications
- Coordinate external marketing and communications through engaging in regular planning for FBF’s publications, content and outputs (including website, social media, event publicity, brochures, exhibition guides, newsletter)
- Coordinate the creation of content (e.g., articles, newsletters, blogs, posts) and events
- To provide guidance and support for production of digital and print materials and campaigns, ensuring consistency across the organisation.
- Work closely with programmes teams to develop messaging and narratives around programmes and to ensure content is representative of programmes delivery.
Public Affairs and Engagement
- Use experience of and understanding of parliamentary and local authority engagement and processes to develop F&BFs work around research and policy.
- Grow F&BFs public profile through engagement with journalists and media.
- Lead on F&BFs external engagement through thorough horizon scanning and online and offline relationship building.
- Ensure F&BF is connected and influential both on and offline with key stakeholders by developing and leading initiatives that engage our networks effectively.
- To closely support F&BF’s policy, thought leadership and social change initiatives.
Vision & Delivery
- To collaborate on a strategy for the Communications department, that includes key KPIs.
- To identify and lead on the delivery of ideas for innovation, growth, sharing our learning, and continuing relationships with stakeholders.
General
- To help lead the organisation in achieving the organisational aims (below)
- To assist in the development and assessment of FBFF’s organisational strategy
- To contribute towards activities to raise funds, such as developing relationships with existing and potential donors, to support funding application writing, and sharing new ideas.
- To be an ambassador for FBF’s, helping promote the whole organisation through speaking about our work in public, social media, writing articles/blogs.
- Undertaking other initiatives necessary to ensure the successful implementation of the work of the organisation.
