Senior Policy Advisor to the Mayor

We are looking to appoint a credible individual to support the Mayor with the development and delivery of these pledges, including building and maintaining the relationships required to enable their successful fulfilment.

The Senior Advisor to the Mayor will identify and pursue creative and strategic opportunities for raising awareness of and building support for Mayoral Pledges and the role of the Mayor.

In addition to developing the Mayoral Pledges, the successful candidate will also need to work collaboratively with Combined Authority Officers to support the delivery of the organisation’s corporate objectives.

This is a senior role and will include providing counsel to the Mayor on a wide range of issues and projects.

Mayoral Caseworker

Reporting to the Mayor’s Senior Advisor, the Caseworker will need to be politically astute and be comfortable managing a busy workload which will include working both independently and as part of a team to initiative, follow up and complete activities.

There are strong links and independencies between the work of the Mayor and the corporate objectives of the Combined Authority. The Caseworker will need to fully embrace the organisation’s CIVIL values (Collaboration, Integrity, Vision, Innovation and Leadership) to build and maintain relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders.
